Prof. Basant Kumar Mohanty
Dr. Basant K Mohanty received his Masters’s degree from Sambalpur University, in 1989 and a Ph.D degree in the field of VLSI for Digital Signal Processing from Berhampur University, Orissa in 2000. He has 29 years of teaching and research experience in the science and engineering field. Recently he joined Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT), a constituent unit of Sambalpur University, as the Director.
Prior to this, he was associated with Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Shirpur campus as Associate Dean (Research) during 2018-2021, Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna, Madhya Pradesh during 2003-2018, where he becomes full Professor in 2007. Prior to that, he was associated with Mody Institute of Education Research (Deemed University), Rajasthan during 2002-2003, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani during 2001-2002, and SKCG College(Autonomous), Paralakhemundi during 1992-2001.
He has visited Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore during 2014-2015 and Qatar University, Doha Qatar during 2012-2013 for research assignments.
He has published more than 100 technical papers in journals of international repute. Currently, he is serving as Associate Editor for the Journal of Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing.
He was the recipient of the Sydney R. Parker and M.N.S.Swamy best paper award for the Year 2018 by Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing.
