The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at SUIIT was established with a vision to impart quality education and foster research in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. Since its inception, the department has been at the forefront of technological education, producing skilled professionals who have made significant contributions to the power systems, renewable energy, electrical machines, and control systems industry.
SUIIT established the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) in 2015. The Department aims to produce qualified and competent Engineering graduates who can leave their footprints among millions of students through their creativity, problem-solving skills and dedication. Different well-equipped laboratories with research oriented faculty members are the pillars of the Department. The students are encouraged to gain knowledge and develop their skills in core papers like Power System Operation and Control, Power transmission and distribution systems, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Control System Engineering and Electrical Machines. Apart from core papers, elective papers are offered to impart and develop their skills in Distributed Generation, Sensors and Transducers, VLSI, Computer Programming, Engineering Economics and Artificial Intelligence, etc. The students are encouraged to participate in national seminars and conferences to widen their knowledge of the latest developments in Engineering and Technology. Expert talks are organized and eminent researchers and persons from industry are invited so that they can share their vast experience and expertise among the young minds of the students. The EEE students have brought glory to the Department by successfully getting placed in various core as well as software industries while some have opted for higher studies in institutes of national importance.
We have strong collaborations with industry leaders like Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, and research institutions, providing our students with ample opportunities for internships, projects, and placements. The department also organizes regular workshops, seminars, and hackathons to enhance the technical and soft skills of students.
