Establishment & Vision
SUIIT was established in the year 2010 as a Constituent Autonomous Institute of Sambalpur University with approval of AICTE and Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha in the line of IIITs to impart quality training and to have quality research program relating to Information Technology and allied subjects. SUIIT provides training at the level of Undergraduates and Post-Graduates courses in technical subjects holistically and the curriculum includes training in Humanities, Management Sciences and Basic Sciences in addition to the relevant core technical subjects.
Sambalpur University is one of the oldest Universities of the State of Odisha and is catering to the higher educational need of people of Western Odisha since 1967. The University has established itself as a leading educational institute with global footprints with NAAC grade 'A' and has been the center of attraction for students and scholars from other states as well. Sambalpur University has been at the forefront of nurturing technical education in the state of Odisha through R.E.C. Rourkela (presently NIT, RKL) and U.C.E, Burla (presently VSSUT, Burla) with many distinguished alumni both in India and abroad.
SUIIT is a unique venture for nurturing the young minds in the contemporary globalized environment by making use of the decades of rich academic experience and achievements of the University in diverse fields and providing a modern platform for innovation, research and technical training of international standard.
